Authenticity = Success | How I Built My Real Estate Business My Way

When I first entered real estate, I thought the biggest draw was the chance to make big money. But what truly mattered was something deeper: finding a career aligned with who I am.

After earning my master’s degree in Human Relations, I landed a job in Human Resources. On paper it seemed great: steady pay, benefits, and security. But the reality was lonely. I spent my days behind a computer screen, handling payroll and benefits, disconnected from people.

The truth? My behavioral style thrives on connection. I loved waiting tables during my 20s because I got to talk, laugh, serve, and instantly see the impact of my work. That joy was missing in my HR career, but I found it again in real estate.

Real estate gave me permission to show up authentically, build relationships, and grow a business in alignment with my strengths. I did not have to force strategies that did not fit my style. I could lean into what I do best.

Lesson learned: Success comes when you know yourself, embrace your natural strengths, and align your work with who you are.
